Straits Developments Pte. Ltd.
Incorporated in 1963, Straits Developments Pte. Ltd. (“SDPL“) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Straits Trading. SDPL has its roots as a real estate developer and is the corporate and operational arm for the Group’s property business, except for those which fall under Straits Real Estate. The company focuses on creating value from the legacy land and assets owned by the Group. These include iconic developments in Singapore and Malaysia.
STC Property Management Sdn. Bhd.
Straits Trading owns a 100% stake in STC Property Management Sdn. Bhd. (“STCPM”). STCPM spearheads the development of Straits City, a 40-acre master-planned CBD project in Butterworth, Penang, Malaysia. The development includes a retail mall, hotels, service apartments, offices and residential properties.

Straits Real Estate Pte. Ltd.
Straits Trading owns an 100% stake in Straits Real Estate Pte. Ltd. (“SRE”). SRE is an investment company that identifies and participates in real estate related investments and opportunities across the world. Launched in 2013, SRE has grown to manage a diverse investment portfolio with $1.9 billion in assets (as at 31 December 2020) in China, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Australia and South Korea.

Straits Investment Management Pte. Ltd.
Straits Trading owns a 100% stake in Straits Investment Management Pte. Ltd. (“SIM”). SIM is a global fund management firm with capabilities in equities, fixed income, and alternative investments. The firm holds a Capital Markets Services (CMS) licence for fund management issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
ESR Group Limited
In August 2021, Straits Trading’s 22.1% owned associate, ARA Asset Management Holdings Pte Ltd (“ARA”) entered into an agreement to merge with ESR Cayman Limited (“ESR”).
The transaction, which was completed on 20 January 2022, realised approximately S$685.6 million in valuation uplift for Straits Trading’s equity stake in ARA. Post merger, Straits Trading holds approximately 4.8% equity stake in the enlarged ESR.
Straits Trading stands to ride on the growth of ESR, Asia Pacific’s largest real estate and assets manager with US$140 billion in gross assets under management.
